Trades Industry Program Director

I was born and raised in New Mexico where I attended NMSU studying Criminal Justice. My family and I moved to Lincoln, NE on a whim with only a U-Haul of our belongings and a city we had never even stepped foot in. 

As you can tell, I am always ready for an adventure and Lighthouse is my new adventure! I am excited about helping people in our local community. 

 

I have grown to love the Hand Up mentality, by helping people work towards bettering their situation. I worked with Habitat for Humanity for 11 years, helping families work towards and obtain affordable housing.  I have always been involved in some aspect of construction and truly enjoy working with my hands as well as showing people how to work and build with their hands. In my new role, I hope to be a mentor to our younger generations and help them using the same hand up model and find the career options available to them in the trades industry.
