Tucker Thompson

Program Coordinator/Grant Writer

Hi! My name is Tucker Thompson and I was born in Missoula, Montana. I attended UNL for my undergraduate degree where I graduated with my Bachelor’s of Education and Human Sciences with a focus in secondary Earth & Space Science education. After graduation, I worked part-time for Lighthouse while obtaining my Master’s degree in Renewable Energy & Sustainable Systems with a Graduate Certification in Solar Energy. Once I graduated with my Master’s, I moved to Omaha, Nebraska where I was a Director of Solar, a 6th grade science teacher at Monroe Middle School, and started my own solar business. After 2 years of the corporate world I realized that my heart was still with Lighthouse, so my fiancé and I moved back to Lincoln where I am able to work alongside amazing, passionate people to help the youth of our community.

My goals at Lighthouse are to 1) create a safe environment for our youth 2) create positive, lasting relationships with youth 3) using Restorative Practices and Strengths to help develop youth into the best versions of themselves and 4) develop academic, professional, and personal skills to help the youth succeed in their lives.
